Fraudulence and Money Swindling Pervade SHA, Health CS Confirmed.

The Ministry of Health now takes a stern action against the perpetrators of the fraudulent activities practiced by some doctors and health officials.

The forensic audit conducted by Social Health Authority (SHA) indicates cases of multiple billing,Falsified records,Fake inpatient biling and the creation of Ghost patients to inflate claims.

Speaking on Friday during a press briefing, Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Dwale confirmed the Suspension of 40 health facilities across the country.

” Fraud once seen under the defunct NHIF will not be tolerated under SHA . Any Doctor or health officials involved in defrauding SHA will be held personally responsible “. Dwale warned.

The vicious Health CS also confirmed that 8 doctors and 4 clinical officers have not only been bared from accessing Sha services but also referred to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations for Prosecution.

Not enough,the regulatory bodies have been mandated to initiate possible license cancelation for those implicated .
