Kenya Power says Electricity Maintenance to Cause Outage in 5 Counties on Monday August 18

Kenya Power is now announcing planned electricity Maintenance that may cause blackout in 5 Counties.The move is aiming at reliability and stability of the power network for dependants.

The counties to be affected include Nairobi , Kericho ,Kisii,Nyeri and Laikipia county.According to Kenya Power the above mentioned counties shall not experience total blackout but partial outage as follows;

In Nairobi the specific impacted area shall be Kitsuru and it’s environ.This will commence at 7:00am till 5:00PM.

In Kericho, areas to be mostly affected include Ngoinaroad Market ,Tulwet Boys,Reresik Centre ,Roret Market,Mabasi Centre ,Bakitra Primary School and Monoru. This will take effect from 9:00am to 500 pm.

In Kisii the listed areas include Gesonso Market,Gesonso Police Station,Iterio Complex,Suneka market,Itibo Hotel , Kisii University, Kisii polytechnic,Nyanchwa Ekerore and Tabaka Hospital. This is scheduled to take place between 9:00 am to 5:00 pm .

Nyeri; Residents of Kwa Tailor,Waheire,Karia,Kagwathi,Muthuani,TetuTVC and Kiandere market will be affected as from 8:00 am to5:00pm.

In Laikipia county the marked areas are planned to experience outage from 9:00am 12:00pm. These areas include Banyuki Airstrip ,Anka Resort,Tambuzi Farm ,Traut Tree Hotel ,Aberdare Prestige Cottages and Tropical Timber.

The residents of the affected areas are therefore advised to take appropriate precautions if need be for the avoidance of any inconvenience.
