The National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA) program has issued a new directive for all shortlisted candidates. Selected youth are now required to complete the Entrepreneurship Aptitude Test (EAT) in preparation for the upcoming Validation Exercise scheduled for October 24, 2025.

NYOTA emphasized that the EAT is a vital component in the selection process, designed to assess each applicant’s entrepreneurial potential and readiness for the program’s next phase.

The test will evaluate key areas such as creativity, problem-solving skills, and overall business acumen.

How to Complete the NYOTA Entrepreneurship Aptitude Test

To participate in the NYOTA Entrepreneurship Aptitude Test (EAT), applicants must text the word “NYOTA” to 40270 and follow the prompts provided.

Applicants should use the same mobile number they used during registration to ensure proper verification. NYOTA has confirmed that the test is free of charge and accessible on both smartphones and basic feature phones.

If you do not receive a response after sending the initial SMS, you are advised to enable promotional messages by dialing 100525*1# on your phone.

The EAT process begins with selecting your preferred language, after which you will receive a series of questions via SMS. To respond, simply reply with the correct option number for each question. Upon completing the test, you will receive a confirmation message.

In case of interruptions—such as your phone switching off—you can resume the test from where you left off, provided you continue using the same SIM card. However, please note that submitted answers cannot be changed.

The Entrepreneurship Aptitude Test is part of NYOTA’s broader initiative in partnership with the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection and other government bodies. The goal is to equip young people with entrepreneurial skills and create opportunities for sustainable livelihoods.
