The Whitehouse has confirmed it’s bold move to fire the director of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDCP) Dr Suzan Monarez who on Wednesday refused to resign.

Her removal from Health Agency is anchored on the accusation of her failure to align with the US President Donald Trump.

“As her Attorney’s statement makes it abundantly clear,Suzan Monarez is not aligned with the President’s agenda ,for that reason she is hereby terminated from her position as Director of CDCP” White house announced.

While responding to her ouster through her lawyers,Dr Monarez Says ” I have always been targeted for having refused to Rubber-stamp unscientific, reckless directives and fire dedicated health experts” .

Nonetheless, her exit did not just go solely but prompted the resignation of three other senior CDCP leaders including Debra Houry, Chief Medical Officer who warned about the rise of misinformation about vaccines.

Other officials who tendered their resignations include Director of the office of Public Health Data , surveillance and Technology , and the Head of National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Deseases ,Demetre Daskalaskis who sited weaponisation of public health.
