Trump Doubles Down: Calls Epstein Scandal a ‘Hoax’ Orchestrated by Democrats

U.S. President Donald J. Trump has reignited controversy after posting a blunt statement on his Truth Social platform, once again dismissing the Jeffrey Epstein scandal as, in his words, “bullshit” and a “hoax created by radical Democrats.”

In the early-morning post, Trump wrote:

“Same old story — Epstein case is another HOAX. Bullshit scandal cooked up by the Left to smear good people. Just like Russia, just like Ukraine, just like everything else. They’re obsessed!”

This is not the first time Trump has tried to distance himself from the Epstein controversy, but his language and tone this time were notably more aggressive.

He accused the Democratic Party of using Epstein’s name as a political weapon against prominent conservatives and called the renewed attention to Epstein’s files “a distraction from Biden’s failures.”

The comment has sparked a political firestorm across the United States and abroad, especially as more names are expected to emerge from the still-classified Epstein court documents.

Trump’s remarks come at a time when public pressure is mounting on federal authorities to release all unredacted files related to Epstein’s international sex trafficking network. Many Americans and international observers have expressed frustration over the slow pace of transparency, fearing elite protectionism.

Meanwhile, critics have condemned Trump’s dismissive tone as dangerous and disrespectful to the victims of Epstein’s crimes. Women’s rights advocates, journalists, and former prosecutors have called on political leaders to treat the case with the gravity it deserves.

“This isn’t a left or right issue. It’s about justice for the survivors,” said New York attorney Marcia Goldstein. “The public deserves the truth, and it shouldn’t be politicized.”

The Trump campaign has not issued an official clarification of the post, and it remains prominently visible on Truth Social.

As the Epstein files inch closer to full release, Trump’s defiance is likely to fuel further public scrutiny and political debate.
